The weather




The climate here is considered to be a local climate steppe. Through the year it rains in Busot little. The climate classification Köppen -Geiger is BSk . The average annual temperature in Busot is 16.8 ° C . There are about 427 mm of anual rainfall.



Summers are dry and hot with average of 30 ° C and cold winters with an average of 9 ° C.

Church of San Lorenzo

The construction of the temple in two or three phases, date from previous dates to 1596. In 1986 it suffered a
fire and restored the central dome.Finally,the right aisle 
and the Chapel of the Communion, neoclassical was made.At the top,there was an organ that was installed by Fermin Usarralde.




The church is rectangular,with side chapels between buttresses .Inside two domes appear.







The church is located next to the local government,sorrounding a small civil square where there is also a hotel and two restaurants.
The other unique feature is the tower, a square, topped with a hip roof and having holes that make a slightly arched horseshoe.

"El Cabeçó d'Or"

"El Cabeçó d'Or" is a mountain located in the province of Alicante and the main peak of this mountain range , part of the municipality of Alicante, near the town of Busot . The top of the peak is located 1,210 meters above sea level. Through it they pass several hiking trails of varying difficulty.


The climate of "Cabeçó d'Or" is very irregular most of the year. In the spring and summer it is usually around maximum between 25ºC in spring and 35ºC. Meanwhile in winter the maximum not exceeding 22ºC.



Inside are Canelobre Caves , which boast one of the most spectacular vaults in Spain, of about 70 m . In addition to its geological and tourist interest ,the caves have been used on numerous occasions to perform concerts leveraging its superb acoustics.

History of Busot

Its origin is Muslim , whose culture owes the construction of a castle from where the local glass , now defunct old and traditional industry began. From their ovens have survived some residues of pieces of Arab glass. The population was linked to Alicante from that , in 1252 , Alfonso X the Wise include in his term , when this city belonged to the Kingdom of Castile. Later, in 1298 it became part of the Kingdom of Valencia and , during the reign of Ferdinand and Isabella , became the property of Alfonso Martinez was definitely Vera.Busot independence from the city of Alicante in 1773.

On the outskirts of the town are the remains of the old Moorish castle ( whose origin is estimated in the twelfth century ) , nowadays completely ruined
